Behind the Scenes:Focus on you

Hey everyone, and welcome to my journey!

This week's video is the latest song I wrote. I'm finally sharing this brand-new original song, and I want to tell you the incredible story behind it. The song is called "Focus on You."

The inspiration

It all started when I came across the story of Madame Roy, a dedicated teacher from Quebec. Madame Roy taught a PPO class, which is a really specific and important program here in the Quebec school system.

Now, PPO stands for 'Personal, Scholarly, and Professional Project'—it’s essentially a support program designed to help students define their life path. These students often face significant academic challenges, with or without associated diagnoses. They are kids who need extra support, extra focus, and extra heart.

Madame Roy was absolutely committed to these students. She went above and beyond every day to help them find their strengths and their way forward.

The turning point

Sadly, she had to leave her teaching position. When she left, she received an outpouring of messages from her students and their parents—messages showing just how deeply her dedication had impacted their lives.

Reading those messages—seeing that raw emotion and the gratitude from these young people and their families—it hit me right in the heart. I felt this instant, urgent motivation to do something, anything, to keep her positive message alive for those students.

The song's message

That motivation turned into this song. "Focus on You" is for them, and honestly, it’s for anyone who feels like they’re struggling to find their path, or who’s facing big obstacles.

The core message is simple: Don't let your challenges define you. Don't let your diagnosis, your grades, or other people's expectations cloud your vision. You have unique strengths, and the most powerful thing you can do right now is focus on your own journey, your own development, and your own future.

It’s about self-belief, resilience, and knowing that your potential is limitless, no matter what labels are attached to you.

The release

I put a lot of heart and soul into this track, and I truly hope it brings a bit of light and motivation to anyone who hears it, especially those students who inspired it all.
